AOL director of client engagement Stephen Jenkins leaves role

AOL’s director of client engagement Stephen Jenkins is leaving his post to take some time out, he has revealed.

Jenkins joined the company as part of last year’s acquisition of Millennial Media, where he was vice president of global marketing and communications.

He first joined Millennial Media in 2011 as EMEA marketing director, following three years as marketing director of the Mobile Entertainment Forum.

In an email to the industry, Jenkins said he has decided to leave AOL and would be “taking some time out”. He jokes that he hopes to be playing “lots of golf”, before “seeing what comes next”.

AOL bought Millennial Media in a $238m deal last September, as it looked to boost its mobile capabilities.

Last week, AOL chief marketing officer Allie Kline and consumer brands boss Jimmy Maymann spoke to M&M Global at Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona, revealing what comes next for the company in the wake of its acquisition by Verizon.

Watch the interview with Kline and Maymann below.

AOL’s Andrew Moore – formerly managing director, platform, EMEA, at Millennial Media – also joined a panel debate at Mobile World Congress, asking, ‘How to make mobile work for marketers?’
