Bloomberg EMEA commercial chief Matt Teeman departs

Matt Teeman has left his position as commercial director EMEA at Bloomberg Media after only 15 months in the role.

He left on Friday last week (6 November); it is not known if he has another role to go to.

Teeman, who joined from DMG Media, publisher of the Daily Mail, was recruited by Bloomberg Media EMEA managing director Adam Freeman to lead a transformation in the publisher’s commercial approach.

At the time of his hire, Freeman said Teeman would help the vendor to “evolve [its] portfolio of digitally-led, multi-platform brands targeting the informed and engaged global audience who voraciously consume Bloomberg Media’s brands”.

Teeman, a judge at this year’s M&M Global Awards, told Campaign: “I’ve had a fantastic time since I’ve been there, but I came to the decision a month ago to focus on my next challenge.”

In the interim, Teeman’s senior team will report to chief global revenue and client partnership officer Paul Caine.

In April, Bloomberg launched the regional version of its new flagship digital platform, Bloomberg Business.

Teeman spoke to M&M Global at this year’s Cannes Lions about changes to Bloomberg’s commercial approach – watch the full interview below.
