Bloomberg Media and financial centre Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) have signed an exclusive partnership to launch new media platforms in Abu Dhabi and the Middle East.
The partnership will include a “dedicated digital destination”, original TV content and a new Abu Dhabi conference, with the aim of “broadening business understanding” in the MENA region.
“Partnering with ADGM as we expand our coverage of the growing economies of the GCC and beyond will enable Bloomberg Media to enhance our role in the UAE’s dynamic business community,” said Bloomberg Media, EMEA and APAC managing director Parry Ravindranathan.
“Bloomberg’s new regionalised editorial platforms for the Middle East builds on the success of localised properties launched in Europe and Asia in the last 12 months to offer our growing audience of influential business decision makers more relevant, engaging media channels and content.”
The partnership will see Bloomberg bring its ‘Markets Most Influential’ summit to Abu Dhabi, along with New York, London and Hong Kong. The conference franchise utilises Bloomberg’s media resources and brings together newsmakers and financial leaders on issues affecting the global economy.
“The joint initiatives will further enhance Abu Dhabi’s profile and relevance in the global business environment,” said ADGM Registration Authority chief executive officer Dhaher Bin Dhaher. “This new development reinforces ADGM’s ongoing commitment to maintain a vibrant business environment for various stakeholders and companies to thrive.”
ADGM is also the exclusive launch partner of the dedicated Middle East edition of Bloomberg.com, Bloomberg.com/MiddleEast.
As of May, Bloomberg Television will air a new prime-time morning programme ‘Bloomberg Markets: Middle East’, featuring business, economic and financial issues shaping the global markets with a Middle East focus.
