CNN International has recruited Viacom’s Corinna Keller as its new vice president of advertising sales for the Americas.
In her new role, Keller will oversee the pan-regional ad business for CNN International, CNN en Español, CNN.com/international and CNNEspañol.com for Latin America, as well as US-based clients looking to target an international audience.
Based in Miami, Keller will report to Petra Malenicka, senior vice President of advertising sales for Europe and the Americas at CNN International Commercial.
Keller spent 16 years at Viacom, latterly as vice president, international marketing partnerships and pan-regional ad sales. She was responsible for the pan-regional advertising business for Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount Channel and VH1.
Prior to this, she enjoyed a two-year stint at Turner Broadcasting Latin America, launching CNN en Español during her tenure.
“We are truly delighted to have Corinna leading the CNN ad sales operations in the Americas. She is one of the best and most respected professionals in the region, with an impressive track record of developing commercial opportunities and a true passion for CNN,” said Malenicka. “CNN is incredibly strong in the Americas and we are confident we will see our business grow further under Corinna’s leadership.”
Keller added: “I am excited and honoured to return to CNN after all these years and work with an incredible team of professionals to further develop sales partnerships in the Americas.
“CNN is an amazing brand which I have long admired and followed. I look forward to working with our partners to develop new business opportunities and relationships across all of the Americas for the entire CNN portfolio.”
