IPG Mediabrands’ agency network UM has been named media agency of record for New York luxury design house Coach, following a competitive review.
UM will run the account from its New York headquarters, coming up with and delivering customised media buying and integrated planning services for Coach across nine markets in the Americas and Asia.
“We have such a passion for the Coach brand and are thrilled to become their partner in media and brand connections,” said UM global chief executive Daryl Lee. “Coach is an iconic American brand with a rich heritage of craftsmanship.
“We look forward to supporting Coach as their brand transformation and fashion credibility continues to gain momentum globally. Our markets around the world are keen to bring the next level of integrated planning and digital and data innovation to Coach.”
Coach chief marketing officer Carlos Becil added: “We are excited to see the media integration and creativity that they can bring in support of our global brand transformation.”
Last week, Accenture selected UM as its global media planning and buying partner, with a remit to work on digital and mobile-first strategy as well as innovation.
UM’s client list also includes BMW, Johnson & Johnson, Coca-Cola and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
