PROFILE

TV5Monde is an international, French-language general interest network with eight channels that broadcast from Paris and cover every continent. In addition to international news, the channel’s programming line-up includes debates, documentaries, magazines, films, dramas, cartoons and sporting events. In the past 12 months, the channel has undergone a ‘refresh’, resulting in a new look and feel. Recent developments also include the launch of a new channel for the Pacific region. In 2010, there are plans to launch a web TV channel aimed at women and another spotlighting the African continent. There are also plans for two new subtitle languages.
