David Colomer has been named regional chief executive officer for IPG Mediabrands Spain and Portugal, responsible for driving growth through development of marketing solutions and client service.

 

Colomer joins from Havas after almost 20 years, most recently acting as global client managing director based in London. He also has experience in Spain and Portugal for Arena Media where he was regional chief executive.

“I´m thrilled to be joining IPG Mediabrands at such an exciting time of growth, transformation and expansion,” said Colomer. “Clients today are crying out for less complexity, more values in IPG Mediabrands and I am ready for a change”.

Colomer will report to IPG Mediabrands EMEA chief executive officer Caroline Foster Kenny, who joins the network this month.

“Over many years, David has proven himself to be an outstanding and truly dynamic leader, so we’re thrilled to have him join our network,” said IPG Mediabrands global chief executive Henry Tajer. “He has a unique entrepreneurial spirit, which we are confident will help our business in Spain and Portugal to prosper.”

IPG Mediabrands EMEA recently refreshed its leadership, with Sebastien Danet named France chairman in November and Giuseppe Caiazza as McCann Woldgroup and IPG Mediabrands chief executive in Italy.
