Dentsu Aegis Network appoints Robert Horler as new US CEO

Dentsu Aegis Network has appointed Robert Horler to the newly created role of chief executive Dentsu Aegis Network US.

Horler will continue to report to Nigel Morris, chief executive Dentsu Aegis Network Americas and EMEA. He will relocate to New York from London to start his new role in April.

Horler will be responsible for developing, driving and executing the network’s strategy across the US.

Morris said: “In the global context, the US economy continues to show its strength, resilience and innovation, with its advertising spend now exceeding its 2007 pre-recession peak.

“For Dentsu Aegis Network, the US has been a great success over the last five years and it will be a key driver of our future growth.

“With the significant momentum we have in the market, as a group and across all our agencies, by having a dedicated chief executive we will take the business to the next level,” he added.

Horler originally joined Dentsu Aegis Network as managing partner of Carat Interactive in 2000.

In 2002 he was promoted to managing director of Carat Interactive before launching Diffiniti, which then went on to be integrated into Dentsu Aegis’s iProspect network.

Horler said: “Supported by Nigel and the US leadership team, many of whom I know well, I am confident that we will build on the considerable momentum that has fuelled our success to date, strengthening the network and brands for the benefit of our clients.”

Following Horler’s new appointment, Thierry Jadot, chief executive of Dentsu Aegis Network France will take on the responsibility for the oversight of Dentsu Aegis Network Netherlands, joining an existing cluster of the network in France, Belgium and MENA

Tracy de Goose, chief executive of Dentsu Aegis Network UK will take on additional management responsibility for Dentsu Aegis Network, Ireland and will join the EMEA executive board.
