Volvic launches search for ‘Team Volcanicity’

Danone's natural mineral water brand Volvic has launched a Facebook search in the UK for bloggers, photographers and social media addicts to form ‘Team Volcanicity’ and represent the brand online.
The campaign invites Volvic Facebook fans to submit a photo that they feel most strongly expresses ‘Volcanicity’. The public will then be asked to vote for their favourite, with the winners being awarded once-in-a-lifetime experiences and access to some exciting events and activities in the UK.
The Facebook campaign was created by Volvic HQ and social media agency We Are Social.
Kick-starting the campaign, Volvic will unveil a selection of leading UK bloggers to set the tone for the new team and form the judging panel for the ultimate team.
Members of the newly-created ‘Team Volcanicity’ will be given a new state-of-the-art camera as well as some Volcano-related experiences, which will be revealed over the next few months.
The campaign launches today (January 21) and will run until February 8, with voting closing on February 14.
“Our Facebook fans are bursting with Volcanicity,” says Volvic brand manager Jon Marchant. “They live life to the full, embrace nature and have a real sense of adventure – so we are really excited to give them the chance to represent the brand. This is the first time we’ve reached out to our fans in this way and we can’t wait to see what explosive ideas they are going to come up with!”
