PROFILE
DW-TV’s line-up includes news, magazines and documentaries. It broadcasts 24 hours a day in English and German via a global satellite network. For audiences in Latin America, DW-TV broadcasts in Spanish for two hours each day, increasing to 22 hours from February 2012. Deutsche Welle has also created two dedicated channels for the Asian market, with DW-TV Asia+ providing more programming in English and DW-TV Asia focusing on German. DW-TV recently launched a new Arabic programme, offering news, magazines and documentaries in local language for six hours per day via Nilesat. In 2012, the channel plans to extend its global presence by offering new programming on its six channels.
