PROFILE

National Geographic Channel (NGC) delivers factual programmes to an upmarket audience keen to expand their knowledge of the world. The full portfolio of channels – NGC and NGC HD, Nat Geo WILD, Nat Geo WILD HD and Nat Geo Adventure – are dedicated to exploration, conservation and education, with programming and profits that directly support the NG Society’s non-for-profit mission. In 2011, NGC created its first 3D production, Meerkats 3D, and a further raft of 3D content will hit NGC screens in 2012. February 2012 will see the launch of a NG Society-led global initiative, ‘Big Cats’, raising awareness about the decline in big cat populations.
