Publicis veteran Sebastien Danet has been appointed to the newly-created role of IPG Mediabrands chairman for France.
Danet, who joins in December, will act as strategic consultant across the EMEA region, working with clients and supporting operations whilst driving growth and developing products.
“The opportunity to help lead one of the most progressive, entrepreneurial and talented marketing groups in the world was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up,” said Danet.
Danet will work closely with IPG Mediabrands France chief executive Thomas Jamet and report to IPG Mediabrands EMEA chief executive Caroline Foster Kenny, who starts in early 2017 following her appointment in August.
“I’m thrilled to bring strategic consulting and support to Caroline and Thomas and together help realise IPG Mediabrands’ full potential within EMEA,” added Danet.
“Sebastien’s leadership and experience are second-to-none“, said IPG Mediabrands global chief executive Henry Tajer. “EMEA, and France in particular, has always been a key priority for our network.
“I am confident that together Sebastien, Thomas and Caroline will continue to grow and prosper our business through the development of best-in-class client solutions specifically focused for EMEA’s diverse and dynamic marketplace.”
Danet previously acted as chairman France for Publicis Media, with experience at Havas, Carat and ZenithOptimedia France where he launched full service media network Blue 449.
UM London has also appointed Matt Morgan, previously IPG Mediabrands EMEA digital strategy director, as managing partner for digital as part of the network’s commitment to digital.
