Dentsu Aegis Network’s iProspect has appointed ZenithOptimedia global chief digital officer Stefan Bardega as UK chief executive officer as part of the agency’s expansion.
Bardega brings a mixture of digital, analytic and strategic experience to the role from his prior work with the Publicis media agency, as well as Carlton Television, Outrider and Mediacom. Most recently, he oversaw the output of ZenithOptimedia’s 2,500 digital specialists around the world, whilst re-engineering the company’s global programmatic offering.
Bardega replaces Chris Whitelaw, who has been promoted to iProspect EMEA president and global commercial director.
“iProspect has been a pioneer in the performance marketing space for many years,” said Bardega, who will report to Dentsu Aegis Network UK and Ireland chief executive officer Tracy De Groose as well as working with iProspect’s existing leadership team.
“The opportunity to join this market-leading operation, to develop the team, product and clients and to take on a broader digital leadership role across Dentsu Aegis, is a privilege.”
De Groose commented that in a digital economy, businesses need to deeply understand their customers and connect with them in relevant ways.
“Data-driven insight has never been more important to brand performance and business growth and iProspect is a market-leader and true innovator in this space,” she added.
“I am delighted Stefan is joining us at such an exciting time; his deep expertise, ambition and entrepreneurial spirit make him the perfect person to lead iProspect and our groups’ digital capabilities to even further growth and success.”
