1. Summarise yourself in 3 words

“I do try.”

2. What made you want to pursue a career in media and marketing?

“Entering the marketing industry offered an opportunity to focus on the two things that interest me the most: people and technology. I’m fascinated by the complexity of digital technology and the way it’s changing how advertisers connect with audiences. I also believe that good relationships make businesses work; people buy people.”

3. Describe your ideal client

“A client that decides to work with you because they trust your knowledge and abilities. When a client has confidence that you will act in their best interests, it gives you the autonomy needed to drive great results for their business.”

4.Name your favourite ever campaign

“There are many brands producing great creative but to name one, Nike’s ‘Risk Everything’ campaign was incredible. It was dynamic, packed with funny cultural references, and featured some of the world’s biggest players. What more could you want?”

5.Which award win are you most proud of and why?

“I aim to help my team achieve their full potential and ensure customers receive an exceptional quality of service, so my proudest moments are when they win an award for doing what they do best — keeping standards high.”

6.Who is the best industry speaker you have ever seen?

“Cindy Gallop. She’s a force of nature with the power to electrify an audience. She’s also an inspiration; advertising consultant, founder and former chair of Bartle, her achievements show what is possible in this industry if you have enough drive.”

7.Which is your favourite social media platform and why?

“WhatsApp. I love the fact it’s like being in the room with people from anywhere in the world. Plus my mum uses it and that’s the ultimate cross-over for social media.”

8.Where is your ideal meeting venue?

“Cannes, maybe on a yacht. I know it’s a cliché, but there is a wonderful atmosphere there that you just don’t get anywhere else. And there’s sun.”

9.What is your favourite restaurant?

“BEAST in Chapel Place, London. You’re sitting under the city and the steak there is phenomenal.”

10. What is hot in international media and marketing, and what is not?

“Creativity is still running to catch up with the platforms consumers are using, but it will get there — the great work of the digital age is yet to come. What will be hot over the next few years is building entirely new formats to engage audiences in innovative ways, not just reworks of the standard display banner.”

11.Which industry buzzword would you ban?

“Programmatic. It’s become too much of a catch-all term that’s applied to lazy, broad discussions about topics that often require more granularity.”

12. Where do you see yourself in ten years’ time?

“At present I’m very much focused on transforming and growing the UK arm of Sizmek, but 10 years from now, who knows? Perhaps I’ll be involved with a start-up. There’s something very appealing about the idea of building something new and watching it grow.”

13. Finally, who would play you in a movie of your life?

“Vince Vaughan. He’s a comedy hero and someone I aspire to, on good days.”
