Malaysia Airlines global marketer Dean Dacko to speak at Festival of Media Asia

Malaysia Airlines’ top global marketer Dean Dacko is to speak at next month’s Festival of Media Asia Pacific, offering an exclusive insight into steps the brand is taking to rebuild consumer trust in the wake of last year’s tragic events.

The airline suffered a torrid 2014, first with the disappearance of flight MH370 en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, and then when one of its planes was shot down over the Ukraine-Russia border in September.

Senior VP marketing Dacko, who oversees all global brand activity, will outline how Malaysia Airlines is looking to reconstruct its reputation and rebuild relationships with travellers, in what is surely set to become a go-to case study in crisis recovery.

Festival of Media Asia Pacific returns to the Capella Singapore on 22-24 March 2015, offering a unique insight into why global brands are attracted to APAC, and how regional brands are expanding globally.

Dacko will join a host of major brands already speaking at the event, including Huawei’s top consumer marketer for China, Jeffrey Yang, and regional leaders at Unilever, Nestle, PepsiCo, IndoFoods and GrabTaxi.

It has also been confirmed that Kiip-founder Brian Wong, Spotify Asia managing director Sunita Kaur, and Deepak Ravindran, the founder of ground-breaking tech firm Innoz, will be speaking.
