McCann Worldgroup appoints Sarah Watson for global strategy role

McCann Worldgroup has appointed Sarah Watson as its new global strategy director.

Watson, who joins from TBWA/Chiat/Day, will work alongside the newly-promoted regional strategy director for Europe, Harjot Singh, on the network’s General Mills business.

Singh, who will move to London from New York at the end of this month to take on his new role, has served as global strategic director on McCann Worldgroup’s General Mills International brand portfolio since joining the agency in 2011.

In addition to Harjot Singh, Craig Bagno has also been promoted to regional strategy director for North America.

Both Bagno and Singh had previously led global strategy on major worldwide accounts, key roles that they will retain.

With their expanded responsibilities, Bagno and Singh will join the worldwide team of regional strategic leaders that includes Richard McCabe, regional strategy director for APAC, and Josafat Solis, regional strategy director for LatAm.

The pair will work with global chief strategy officer Suzanne Powers who said: “Our team is made up of true globalists who are passionate about understanding and creating opportunities for brands to connect with people in more meaningful ways. This helps inspire the work we create and the subsequent results we deliver across our brands.”
