MediaCom awarded P&G LatAm and Caribbean digital business

MediaCom have been awarded Procter & Gamble’s digital media business in Latin America and the Caribbean.

P&G

Starcom MediaVest Group previously held the account, which is thought to be worth up to $75m.

GroupM-owned agency MediaCom already holds P&G accounts across multiple territories including Australia, Japan, India, Philippines, Korea and Singapore.

The win comes as P&G kicks off a shake-up of its global management team, as the FMCG giant looks to become more streamlined and focused.

The internal shuffle came to light in a leaked memo from P&G chief executive AG Lafley, published by the Wall Street Journal earlier this month, revealing that four senior leaders will be retiring over the coming 12 months.

P&G also announced that it is selling off its Duracell battery business as a part of its wider plan to speed up its growth by axing up to 100 brands.
