Facebook has hired Microsoft UK chief Marketing officer Philippa Snare to head its business marketing in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Snare will take on Deborah Hale’s role as marketing director for business, heading all B2B marketing, including supporting SMEs optimise their Facebook presence and encouraging ad spend.
Hale left to work as a campaign coordinator for filmmaker Richard Curtis’ Project Everyone initiative, which tackles extreme poverty and climate change via the sharing of global goals.
Snare, who has worked for Microsoft for 15 years and also sits on the board of ISBA, tweeted that “dreams can come true #teamawesome” when Glassdoor named Facebook the UK’s best employer.
