M&M Global Awards set to rip up ‘safe’ celebration format with immersive experience

M&M Global Awards is set to disrupt the safe and traditional awards format with an immersive experience that will begin before, continue during and post the night of celebration on Thursday 7 September at the Natural History Museum.

And what’s more as part of this new format, you the industry, are being offered the chance to win an Amazon Echo.

With the shortlisted entrants announced and ‘Hope’ the blue whale getting settled in her new home at the Natural History Museum, the M&M Global team is also preparing to make it the new abode for its annual awards show.

A highlight for the international media and marketing industry, this year’s iteration of the M&M Global Awards promises to be a special night with high profile figures from brands, media agencies and media owners all in attendance.

While celebration of the work and networking will still be at the forefront of the event we aim to deliver a memorable night, whether or not you are shortlisted, or go home with a trophy.

To achieve this disruption M&M Global Awards is partnering with Public Blank Productions and adding immersive elements on the night, as well as creating a pre-narrative online treasure hunt.

The M&M Global Awards will partner with the fictional association the British Archaeological Society for Missing and Undiscovered Treasures (BASMUT) and invites the industry to join the online hunt for the missing ‘Beijing Man’ (for his real story, read up about the Peking Man here).

Online clues and puzzles will be hidden throughout M&M Global Awards site and social media platforms, and those who discover the final location of the ‘Beijing Man’ will be entered into a prize draw to win an Amazon Echo speaker. There will also be a number of other prizes for anyone who can reveal the exact address of the artifact and gets involved in the treasure hunt in the physical world.

The characters encountered on the treasure hunt will be present on the night and will lead the evening, so put the date in your diary and book your tickets.

If you are too busy to get involved in the online treasure hunt don’t worry as there will be plenty of immersive fun to be had on the night.
