Say Media is expanding its executive leadership team with the appointment of Anna Baird as chief financial officer and Alex Schleifer as creative director.
Baird brings more than 20 years experience working with Silicon Valley companies McAfee and KPMG, where she was the global lead partner for Google.
Most recently, she was a partner at Connor Group. Before that, she was senior vice-president at McAfee, working on its global strategy, infrastructure and organisational alignment.
“Anna has worked with some of the world’s most prominent tech brands in Silicon Valley, and knows what it takes to help us grow into a global leader,” says Say Media chief executive Matt Sanchez.
At the same time, Say’s Media Lab general manager Alex Schleifer has been promoted to creative director, leading the company’s strategic design and implementation. Prior to joining Say, Schleifer founded creative agency Sideshow.
“Design is in everything Say does as a company and the appointment of Alex to creative director marks an important milestone in Say’s evolution and its commitment to quality,” adds Sanchez.
Last month, Say Media secured $27m in a new round of funding to help the company develop its platform and portfolio. Say Media also recently appointed Time magazine worldwide publisher Kim Kelleher as president.
