OMG exec Blackden departs for Adnologies CEO role

Omnicom Media Group’s (OMG) international president of Annalect, Damian Blackden, has left the group to take the role of international chief executive at European DSP company, Adnologies.

At OMG, Blackden headed Annalect, the group’s digital, data and analytics business working in EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin American regions. Prior to working at Omnicom, he led digital development at Zenith and also co-managed UM’s London office.

“Adnologies has a very compelling platform,” says Blackden. “We’re operating in a time when agencies and advertisers are recognising the material benefits of such capabilities.”

German-based Adnologies offers a data exchange, DSP, dynamic video and display units built in HTML5 and Flash as well as an inventory marketplace. It is aiming to expand its operations beyond its London and Hamburg hubs.

“Extending into the UK and across territories is a natural move for us, given the UK’s exciting technology adoption rate and the pace of change,” says Adnologies chief executive Andreas Schwibbe.

The Adnologies portfolio include ASP ad-serving solution HEIAS and the EuroDX Data Exchange and several modules designed to optimise digital advertising. The company founded in 2006 in Emden and moved its central headquarters to Hamburg this year.
