Orion Holdings and Pitney Bowes team up for new print service
19 July 2012
Interpublic Group’s (IPG) Orion Holdings has partnered with Pitney Bowes to launch a new print unit.
Orion Printing will supply print management solutions to IPG’s companies around the world and will aim to leverage the holding company’s print spend to provide efficient printing services to its clients. The new unit will provide a fully managed print service, a network of print solutions, project management and technologies to improve the cost effectiveness of the services.
IPG operations executive Robert Hoad will head Orion Printing and will serve as its global managing director, reporting to Orion Holdings worldwide president and chief executive Brian McMahon.
“Clients spend a significant amount of money on printed marketing materials and we know Orion Printing can drive significant savings for them,” says McMahon.
Orion Printing has already been engaged by two IPG agencies in the UK and South Africa to help their clients with their printing requirements. The unit will be a fully-owned subsidiary of Orion Holdings, which is part of the IPG Mediabrands network.
Pitney Bowes employs approximately 29,000 people worldwide and specialises in software, hardware and services to combine physical and digital communications channels.
Earlier this month, IPG Mediabrands launched in the Benelux region. The network’s operations will be headed by newly appointed chief executive Diederik Breijer.
