Volkswagen highlights ‘Unbelievable value’

Volkswagen’s latest ad campaign, which breaks in the UK this week, focuses on the affordability of the German car brand.
The 30 second TV spot, created by Omnicom-owned adam&eve/DDB, places Volkswagen cars in environments where you would not expect to see a them, including on a store shelf, in a trolley at a supermarket or at a grocery market.
The campaign is targeting new car buyers with the strapline ‘Unbelievable value’ and its aim is to make the general public rethink the price of Volkswagen’s cars.
The ad breaks on July 21. The $4.3m campaign is supported by print and digital executions and will run until September 10.
“This campaign marks a new direction for Volkswagen Value ads, but still executed in a way only Volkswagen can with wit, humanity and honesty,” says adam&eveDDB executive creative director Jeremy Craigen.
London-based agency adam&eve was acquired by Omnicom in May for an estimated $94m. It has since been merged into DDB London.
