Euronews strengthens reach via connected TVs

International news channel Euronews is strengthening its reach across the globe and is now available on the Roku streaming platform in the US, UK and Ireland.

Roku customers will be able to access Euronews content in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Programming includes the latest news bulletins as well as magazines Cinema and Le Mag.

Roku streaming players, which connect to most TV sets, allow users to stream online video, music and games without a PC. The Euronews channel app can be added via the Roku Channel Store.

“We are delighted to offer our programmes to Roku’s customers and increase our reach in the US, where we observe a strong interest for Euronews’ perspective on world events,” says Euronews marketing manager Walid Chamak. “Euronews is reinforcing its non-linear distribution globally, transforming itself into a news hub accessible from anywhere on any device.”

“Roku’s decision to enter the European market is definitely good news for the consumer but also for the industry and we are happy to support this move,” he adds.
