Mindshare, Google open up Mobile Garage
22 June 2012
Mindshare has teamed up with Google to launch Mobile Garage, a service to help clients get the most out of their mobile strategies.
The hubs will give Mindshare clients access to dedicated teams of mobile strategists and product experts. The hubs will initially be based in New York, London and Singapore.
Mobile Garage will help out on all aspects of mobile marketing, including search optimisation, strategy planning, creative optimisation and app development. The teams of experts will be a mix of Mindshare and Google employees.
According to Mindshare, there has been a 400% increase in mobile search traffic over the last two years. Mobile operator industry body GSMA and research company Machina forecast that there will be 24 billion connected devices by 2020, giving the industry a value of approximately $4.5bn.
“We designed Mindshare to be open source and to work with the best partners for the benefit of our clients. It’s about trial, experimentation and speed to re-design our business. Working with Google on mobile will give our clients a competitive advantage in a key battleground both now and for the future,” says Mindshare Worldwide chief executive Nick Emery.
Mindshare already has an existing working relationship with WPP’s mobile agencies Joule and H-Art.
