Komli strengthens mobile offering
25 July 2011
APAC digital media platform Komli Media has acquired mobile ad company ZestADZ to bolster its range of services.
The deal means that Komli Media now offers digital solutions across display, video, search, social media and mobile. The Indian company is aiming to utilise ZestADZ’s analytics offering across smartphone platforms such as iPhone, Android and Windows 7 operating systems.
ZestADZ currently receives five billion mobile impressions each month with the aim of helping advertisers and agencies deliver targeted mobile ad campaigns. It has offices in Los Angeles, Des Moines and Chennai.
Asif Ali, who founded ZestADZ in Chennai in 2007, will continue to lead the company as chief executive although it will be integrated into Komli’s overall mobile division.
“We are looking to leverage Komli’s leadership position in the Asia-Pacific region to accelerate the adoption of mobile advertising by leading agencies, advertisers, and publishers,” said Ali.
Emarketer predicts that Asia-Pacific mobile internet users will double in the next four years to reach 1.2 billion by the end of 2015.
