28 March 2012
Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has appointed Roberto Bagatti as senior vice-president, youth and music brands, and creative director of the MTV World Design Studio.
Bagatti moves to the role from his current position as vice-president of creative and creative director, MTV International. He joined MTV Italia in 1999 as a senior designer and in 2005 was named creative director for the Italian MTV channels which include MTV, QOOB and La7.
Bagatti’s remit will be to devise and direct creative branding projects across VIMN’s international youth and music channels, primarily MTV, aligning the creative output and ensuring consistency across the organisation’s multiple platforms.
He will also take on responsibility for MTV’s World Design Studio Milano, where he will collaborate with MTV’s regional creative directors in Buenos Aires, London, Milan, Singapore and Stockholm.
Based at the MTV World Design Studio in Milan, Bagatti will report to VIMN executive vice-president of music brands Antonio Campo Dall’Orto.
“Roberto is instrumental in the development of our creative activity,” says Dall’Orto. “As an MTV veteran, his understanding and in-depth knowledge of our organisation’s brand is second to none, which combined with his expertise has led to truly original and innovative creative projects.”
In addition, Bagatti’s creative oversight has been extended to include VIMN’s newest international brand, Paramount Channel, which launches in Spain this month ahead of a global roll-out.
