PHD celebrates anniversary with ’25 Yearbook’ featuring founders and alumni

PHD has kicked off a year-long celebration to mark the 25th anniversary of the agency launching its first office in London.

To celebrate the talent that has shaped the agency over the years, PHD has been inviting those that have worked for and with the agency, past and present, to leave a message on its specially created microsite phdat25.com.

The online ’25 Yearbook’ features a mixture of videos and quotes from 25 people that have “shaped PHD’s history” including co-founders David Pattison, Nick Horswell and Jonathan Durden, who talk about how the launch of PHD offered clients “a whole new way of looking at media”.

The site also features Carolyn McCall, now chief executive of easyJet, sharing her memories of the Group when she was chief executive of founding client Guardian Newspapers, which is still a client today.

Unilever’s chief marketing and communications officer Keith Weed gives his perspective as a current client, saying: “If I was to describe PHD in three words, I suppose I can come up with lots of thoughts about how they have helped plan and deliver great media, but I will have to be corny and use the ‘P’, ‘H’ and ‘D’. So, ‘P’ for professional, ‘H’ for holistic planning and ‘D’ for delivery.”

Mike Cooper, worldwide chief executive of PHD, Susana Tsui, chief executive of PHD APAC, and Alejandro Clabiorne, regional MD of PHD LATAM are all included in the 25.

The microsite also enables others who have worked with or at PHD to add their own anniversary messages, or add themselves to the ‘25 Yearbook.’
