Publicis Media has announced a raft of appointments in the UK and Middle East, as its new-look global management team begins to take shape.
Publicis Groupe last month unveiled a major restructure of its media operations, consolidating buying under the new Publicis Media division, and merging and disbanding some of its agency brands.
Steve King was appointed global chief executive, with former Starcom Mediavest Group (SMG) boss Iain Jacob taking the reins as EMEA CEO.
Jacob has now revealed that Amanda Morrissey is to take on the role of UK chief executive at Publicis Media, while Alex Saber and Steve Parker has been appointed chairman and CEO respectively for Publicis Media Middle East.
Morrissey, who joins from her previous role as general manager of AKQA, will be supported by UK chairman and “strategic advisor” Phil Georgiadis.
Saber has held senior roles in the MENA region working for SMG and VivaKi, while Parker made his name as co-chief executive of SMG UK.
They will all work across Publicis Media’s new quartet of agency brands, Starcom, Zenith, Mediavest|Spark and Optimedia|Blue 449.
The group has also announced the promotion of ZenithOptimedia chief executive for Central, Northern and Eastern Europe, Nicole Prüsse, to the role of chief operating officer, EMEA, for Publicis Media.
Jacob said: “Nicole is one of our most accomplished leaders with a strong track record of growing and transforming business and markets. With a focus on strong performance, product excellence and innovation, Nicole is the perfect person to drive our expertise and organisation across the region and I look forward to working with her in her new role.”
