Programmatic specialist RadiumOne has opened a new office in Norway, led by new managing director Ketil Øye.
Øye, who previously held senior roles at AdForm, DoubleClick and Nettavisen, will report to European managing director Rupert Staines.
“Norway is one of the world’s most advanced digital ad markets and a key strategic choice in our international expansion,” Staines said. “Having the calibre and local market knowledge of someone such as Ketil is vital to spearheading our launch into Norway and bolstering our overall Nordics presence.”
US-based RadiumOne opened offices in Italy and Singapore last year, adding to its presence in London, Manchester, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Oslo.
With Norway considered the second most-advanced country in terms of digital ad spend after the UK, plus third globally in total media ad spend per person and digital ad spend per internet user, the Oslo office is set to service the increasing business RadiumOne is winning across the Nordics region.
According to the IAB, the Norwegian display, video and mobile ad market is worth about €300m ($325m), with around 30% of this spend being delivered programmatically.
