Sports content agency Seven46, part of Havas Sports & Entertainment, is to open a new office in Japan ahead of the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020.

Seven46, which currently only has a London office, served as the main strategic communications agency for Tokyo’s successful 2020 Bid Committee.

It now aims to capitalise on opportunities in the country ahead of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as the 2019 Rugby World Cup, which is also taking place in Japan.

The agency will be led by Tokyo-based Emiri Tokunaga (pictured).

Seven46 founder and CEO Nick Varley said: “We are delighted to be making this important step in the Japanese market. I am certain that Emiri will prove to be an outstanding ambassador for Seven46, and will help us to grow further in Japan at this exciting time for the country.”
