World’s leading tech start-ups sign up for ’emerge’ showcase

Twenty-five of the world’s hottest technology start-ups are set to take part in this year’s emerge programme at the Festival of Media Global (FOMG) in Rome.

Now in its second year as part of FOMG, emerge aims to match technology innovators and entrepreneurs with senior decision-makers in global media and marketing.

Spanish product analyst provider Plytix, UK personal database Powr of You, German Twitter search and analytics company tame.it and Israeli text-to-video technology firm Wibbitz are among the start-ups selected by panel of 14 investors and marketers.

Each start-up will be showcased at the Festival’s ‘emergeZone’ – a pitching and networking area within the networking space at Rome’s Cavalieri venue. They will also be invited to deliver a two-minute pitch to an audience of senior delegates.

Brands attending FOMG include Apple, Coca-Cola, Expedia, Honda, Ikea, Procter & Gamble, Red Bull and Johnson & Johnson.

Successful emerge participants in 2014 included much-hyped mobile augmented reality platform Blippar, content marketing pioneer NewsCred –which recently signed a major partnership with Havas Media Group – and rapidly-growing social engagement specialists EngageSciences.
