Yahoo’s Robert Bridge moves to Telegraph Media Group

Yahoo UK vice president and head of international marketing and editorial Robert Bridge is to join Telegraph Media Group in the newly created role of chief customer officer.

Robert Bridge

Bridge, who will oversee all marketing, data and insight, brand management and customer experience projects for the group, worked as strategic development manager at the Telegraph from 2001 for two years. He has been with Yahoo for six years.

“It is a great honour to re-join TMG after over 12 years and see how the business has gone from strength to strength,” said Bridge. “I look forward to working with the great talent at TMG.”

Bridge will report to chief executive Murdoch MacLennan, who said he was delighted at the addition to the senior team.

“Robert Bridge will have a crucial role in developing and offering new products to the customers who lie at the heart of our business,” said MacLennan.

This announcement comes soon after the appointment of former chief marketing officer Chris Duncan as chief customer officer at rival British newspaper publisher News UK.
