MediaCorp, which has interests in TV, radio, interactive media and film-making, believes the shift to HTML5 will help it better monetise its mobile ad inventory.

The media firm will run dynamic creative ad units across both mobile and desktop using Sizmek’s ad management technology.

Sizmek will also deliver education and training to MediaCorp’s sales and operations teams, builds custom ad formats and provide production services to MediaCorp.

Websites that have begun running the new ads include Channel News Asia, Elle, Toggle, and TodayOnline.

Joey Chee, Sizmek’s regional director for Southeast Asia, said: “Sizmek’s interactive ad formats on the MediaCorp sites will help the publisher maximise its digital advertising yields and provide better engagement results for brand advertisers.

“Publishers are looking to increase interaction and dwell rates by making advertisements more relevant and appealing, and to directly engage with users through the delivery of stand-out creative.”

Ad units deployed on the website will include expandable banners, responsive mobile ads, and a ‘3D Cube Flip’ format that enables advertisers to highlight product information and a video.

MediaCorp is seeking to cater for clients’ increasing demand for ads featuring dynamic product information, data capture and eye-catching visual features.

Ad formats are built using Sizmek’s HTML5 ad building tech, a codeless authoring tool that allows clients to design and deliver ads across all screens.
