Social media management platform Hootsuite has appointed former Socialbakers APAC boss Simon Trilsbach as vice president, APAC.

In his new role, Trilsbach will be responsible for growing and expanding Hootsuite’s presence across the region.

Ryan Holmes, chief executive of Hootsuite said: “[Trilsbach’s] success in scaling high-growth business and sales in Asia Pacific will add tremendous value to the Hootsuite team.

“We have exciting plans for continues global expansion this year and we’re thrilled to have [Trilsbach’s] experience at the helm,” added Holmes.

Trilsbach has over 10 years’ experience driving business growth and leading sales across the Asia Pacific region. Before he joined Hootsuite, he held the role of vice president, APAC at Socialbakers.

Trilsbach said: “Social media has become an integral part of all business communications across organisations.

“There is a need for these enterprises to better integrate social within the organisation, establishing an enterprise-wide social media solution. Hootsuite is committed to helped organisations in Asia Pacific to seamlessly undergo social business transformation,” he added.

Trilsbach also held the position of general manager to Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan at Experian Marketing Services.
