Merck’s Consumer Healthcare division has appointed Starcom as its global media agency partner following a competitive pitch.
The agreement will see the Publicis Media agency take full media responsibility for the division’s brands across all the markets in which it operates including Neurobion, Bion3, Nasivin, Seven Seas, DoloNeurobion and Femibion.
“We are very excited to expand our previous relationship with Starcom to now be working with Starcom as our new Global Media partner,” said Merck Consumer Healthcare chief marketing officer Atilla Cansun.
“Starcom’s global organisation and profound expertise in integrated communication strategies and execution coupled with a highly energetic team will allow us to further build Merck love brands in the digital age.”
Starcom global brand president Lisa Donohue added: “[Merck is] on an exciting journey, and we look forward to delivering the agility, digital savvy and scale to unlock deep consumer connections with their brands,” she added.
Starcom continues its new business haul, having recently won Visa Europe media, Mars global media planning and FCA media planning and buying across EMEA and APAC.
Publicis Media’s Mediavest|Spark was also recently appointed to KFC’s and MTV’s US media accounts.
