Suntory appoints GroupM to consolidated EMEA media account

Suntory Beverage & Food Europe (SBFE) has appointed GroupM’s Team Spark to consolidate media planning and buying in key EMEA markets.

GroupM said it has created a “tailored” solution for Suntory, which owns the Lucozade, Oasis, Orangina and Schweppes brands, to drive local market confidence-building.

“We admire Suntory’s philosophy, ‘Yatte Minahare,’ and their relentless pursuit of greater success,” said GroupM Europe, Middle East and Africa chief exec Dominic Grainger.

“We’re excited to continue supporting the growth of SBFE’s brands with a progressive media approach built on the management of data, innovation and technology.”

GroupM serves as the parent to WPP media agencies including Mindshare, MEC, MediaCom, and Maxus. The group’s main purpose is to increase performance of WPP’s media agencies through trading, content creation, sports, digital, finance, proprietary tool development and other business-critical capabilities.
